As SKODA’s becoming increasingly more complex with with newer complex, digital control electronics, electrical systems, newer ujanja is always needed to fix, sort out certain ujinga!
This is about SKODA Keys (immobilizer systems),
and related Control Units (ECU)!
For longer, exorbitant, ujanja about keys,
including how to reset (virginize) systems to accept the first key used after being virginized,
or
how to forever disable or immo off to always accept any keys used!

We compile ECU PINOUTS for every all SKODA ECU’s, Electronic Control Units!
These are SKODA’s details of about which pin on the ECU connector, specific function, (e.g., ground, power, sensor input, actuator output) carried by each pin.
These SKODA’ diagrams help you identify if a problem is with a sensor, a wiring harness or the ECU itself,

HAPA UJANJA tu!
Yes, as You know, the immobilizer or anti-theft system verifies that the key used to turn the engine on is the correct one.
If the key is not the correct one, this system blocks different actions to prevent the car from starting, seen🤔?
The car’s computer will disable, the fuel pump, gears’ transmission, the ignition coil and/or the injectors, and depending on the electronic immobilizer system, it could also block the steering column which will lock the steering wheel.
When this system is activated, a warning light such as👇 will turn on!
This is JUST summarizing random points about VW keys,
for longer extreme details, check ☝☝check hapo juu!
All that mambo jambo, transponders, readers’ coils, immu immo, this that box, everything uko☝☝!
(We’re disorganized, and so are these👇summaries)
Some useless PDF documents are attached below the page!
ONYO📌
AUDI, VW, SEAT, SOZI, and may be some others We don’t know, have some ‘zigzag’ relationship with SKODA!
So, You could find some carry-over technology, seen?
The immobilizer system is known as VAG immo 🤣😁!
(VAG immo is split into several versions)
immo-1 immo0 immo1
immo2 immo3 immo4
immo5 immo6 immo-etc 😜
NOTE🚨,
The VAG immo versions’ vehicles’ applications can be confusing, just like this statement😂🤣!
For example, these👇 vehicles, S, O, Z, I, all could be looking similar, same brand,
BUT…
S could be having immo-1 designed for the JAMAICA market!
O could be having immo1 designed for the GHANA market!
Z could be having immo10 designed for the KENYA market!
I could be having immo-etc designed for the BARBADOS…
So, it’s risky to assume, that, because S looks like O,
so they have the same immo ujinga, seen🤔?
The KESSY blaa bla confusing long story, is at the bottom!
👇

This is how, the story of VAG immo evolution goes…
Kama kawaida, at the beginning, the VAG immobilizer system was as standard!
Usual components, immobilizer ECU (immo box), Transponder in the key, kama kawa🤷♀️!
Sasa, when this system seemed easy & simple to f*k,
We, Us😜, had to advise SKODA to revise the system and keep it more fail-safe, adding more ujanja😎!
So, as to differentiate every advancement in the VAG immobilizer systems,
this basic or first system would then be known as,
VAG immobilizer generation 1, usually called IMMO1😉!
To add more ujanja to this immo1,
4 digit PIN algorithm topped up!
Usually it’s ID48 transponder or a PCF7935 transponder in the key!
Obviously immo1 version’s vehicle is identified by the Immobilizer ECU (immo box), whose Identification ama Serial Number could contain 3Z, for example VWZ3Z0S021… 😜!
Usually(NOTguaranteed), but just for example, insha’Allah, on a Golf3, Passat4, higher are chances its a IMMO1 ujinga!
To add more ujanja to the immo1 generation, the ‘immo box’ ama immobiliser ECU, had to be (virtually) hidden in the Instrument cluster, which how then, Immobilizer Generation2, immo 2, was born🤷♂️!
Immo2 is similar nonsense like immo1!
Immo2 just doesn’t have a wandering immo ECU, but locked inside the Instrument Cluster!
That nonsense of kLINE communications was involved!
The PIN algorithm was maintained!
On some it could be a T6, but still same ID48 transponder or a PCF7935 transponder in the key, seen🤔?
Certain OBD machines could reveal the Immo ID while checking the Instrument Cluster
Note🚨 Onyo
Remember this VAG immo can be confusing!
In some few immo2 systems, the engine ECU could be involved, while in others ‘hakuna matata’🤷♂️!
A3, golf4, could be some examples of immo 2🧐!
To further improve the immo2 generation,
the engine ECU was made a must to involve in validating the correct right true key,
and so, immobilizer Generation 3, immo3 was born!
The communication was updated to CANBUS!
The PIN algorithm was obviously maintained!
Still same ID48 transponder or a PCF7935 transponder in the key!
Certain OBD machines could still reveal the Immo ID, and now with extra details of VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) !
X is the 17 digit VIN number!
Y is the 14 digit Immobilizer ID number!
So now immo 3 we have 3 locations with the security data,
The transponder in the key, the Instrument Cluster & Engine ECU!
PASSAT b6, PASSAT cc, are some of the immo 3 examples!
Remember, using almost any OBD tool, You could just login into 👇this XYZ network!
You can adapt a different, new, X or Y or Z!
👇
As in, if key is lost, new instrument cluster, new ECU, hakuna matata🤷♂️ just login to do whatever programming via OBD!
Using any random OBD tool,
this is how You get the password to login CLICK HERE
Lets first sort out the KESSY, keyless entry start system’s nonsense, before continuing with the story on Engine Immobilizer,
…because it’s even further getting more complicated & boring 😜
KESSY, Keyless Entry Start System,
but even Exit, because even as You exit, move out of the vehicle,
You can Keylessly lock the vehicle by touching somewhere on door handle🤷♀️!
That is if👇 JKL confirm to the entry/exit start module, that the Key is not anywhere inside the vehicle!
So, KESSY is Keyless Entry (Exit) Start System 😂🤣😜
Study this👇 picture as we continue with the KESSY story!
A) You have the key on You, in your bag, knickers, wherever🤷♂️!
B) Touch somewhere👇 on the door handle, a signal is sent to M, the Entry Start Authorization ECU module☝!
N) As soon as M gets signal from B, then the Entry Start Authorization ECU module, M, wakes up the Power Supply ECU module, O, to be ready to receive the key code, H, from the key!
C) After M waking up O, M then tells the aerials like C, to send G, a radio wave frequency that tickles the key, A, to spit H, the key details, which is then received by O!
O) The Power Supply Module, O, is on the same CANbus network with the Instrument Cluster, S, Engine ECU, T, that verify the validity of the key!
As we’re going to see, in the subsequent more complicated immo versions, other systems’ ECUs are also involved in the verification of the key!
O) As soon as the key is validated, the power module then engages the door lock to unlock OR lock OR however🤷♂️!
M could know the specific location of A, the key😋!
🚨Reminder🚨,
VAG systems could vary,
depending on the market that vehicle was intended for sale!
Vehicle could be looking similar, same model, but the VAG immo systems could be different!
AUDI intended for Jamaica could differ to with from the same AUDI intended for Kenya, Barbados, Ghana, etc, just for example, bomboclat😁🤣😂!
Continuing with the Engine immobilizer story,
…from immo3 where the ECU, Z, and Instrument Cluster, Y, would verify the validity of the Key, X,
…to making the immobilizer system more complicated,
as other systems’ ECU’s were engaged in the validation of the key!
And so the immobilizer Generation 4, immo4, was born🤷♀️!
There could be more subsequent immo versions than immo4, but they’re just playing about with immo4 version, including that blaa bla of component security, rolling codes, and etc!
From here, whatever random nonsense will all be together taken as IMMO 4+++ rubbish!
Study this stupid illustration below!
👇
A) Whether type A or Aa, You have the key, and you’re already inside🤐!
O) Remember the KESY’s unlocking of the door, woke up this Power Supply Module, O!
Meaning, P, ignition Switch or key reader already has power supply, line OP, seen🤔?
Q) On wanting to start the engine, even if just for mere Igntion Switch-ON, whatever is done at to the ignition switch or button, supplies power to the Steering Column Electronics Module, Q!
As soon as Q is powered, it reads the key code, A, then broadcasts the key code on to the CANbus network where the responsible ECUs will validate the shared key code, to with what they already have programed to🤷♀️!
If all the responsible ECUs agree to the key’s being valid, hakuna matata🤠!
The Power Supply Module, O, will allow power to whatever wherever systems!
In some systems, after the ECU verifying the Key’s validity, to allow iginition ON, before ENGINE is allowed to start, that ECU that has validated the key, may also need to be validated by other ECU’s that’s the component security nonsense!
I’m tired of writing, close Your eyes and watch this video for more rubbish as illustrated👇,
HAPA UJANJA tu😎!
May be whatever is causing You believe MUST do some nonsense to the vehicle, is some minor external problem with the sensors or actuators🤷♂️!
